Congratulations Mrs. McAdam!
Mrs. Regina McAdam has been recognized as the 2011-2012 Teacher of the Year for the North Smithfield School District! Mrs. McAdam is the high school choral director. Anyone who has had the privilege of singing in the NSHS chorus knows that Mrs. McAdam is most deserving of this award. Since she arrival at NSHS, she has led our chorus program to amazing heights. Mrs. McAdam has pushed her students to this level of achievement through her passion, dedication and hard work. This is evident by the countless awards received by our choral program and by our individual chorus students. She has also worked diligently to include all students into the program, regardless of ability. By doing this, she has fostered a love of music and an appreciation for the arts as an essential part of a well-rounded educational experience.
Please join me in congratulating Mrs. McAdam on this tremendous accomplishment! She will now be nominated for the Rhode Island Teacher of the Year Award, which is announced annually by the Department of Education.
