RI Advanced Course Netwrok-Fall Registration-2017

The RI Department of Education has posted the Course Catalog for RI Advanced Course Network Courses for Fall 2017.   This course catalog is now available for your review and we will continue to update the catalog over the coming weeks. Students are able to register now through June 2nd. Visit http://ride.gosignmeup.com to see the course offerings. Any questions or concerns can be brought to the attention of the guidance department and school counselors.

 

 

 

Google Classroom Accounts for Guidance

The NSHS School Counselors have created Google Classroom Accounts for each grade level. Please encourage your child to join and to share with you. We post information on summer programs, scholarships, college visits, and more on a weekly (sometimes daily) basis.

2017-2018 NSHS Course Registration

Students will begin to register for the 2017-2018 school year no later than Monday, March 20, 2017. In preparation for this, please review the Google site built specifically for course registration located at: https://sites.google.com/northsmithfieldschools.com/couresereg/home

13th Annual College Planning Forum at Providence College

The 13th Annual College Planning Forum for stduents with disabilities, 504's, and learning challenges will be held this March at Providence College.  Please see the attached flyer for more details.

Semester One Exam Schedule

 

Dear Parent(s) or Guardian(s):

First semester exams are scheduled from Tuesday, January 17, 2017 to Friday, January 20, 2017.  The exams will be 104 minutes in length and will include material from both the first and second quarters.  High school students are required to report for their exams only and will be dismissed after their exams.  Students must report to advisory between exam periods if they have multiple exams that day.  Transportation will be provided to school in the morning and from school at 2:05 p.m.  Students who do not have transportation may stay in school after the exam period and study in the library.  High school students who arrive to school on the morning bus should report to their exam or to the library if they do not have a first block exam.  Lunch will be available at 11:25 a.m. for high school students.  These students should report to the library after lunch until dismissal at 2:05 p.m.  The Exam Attendance Policy can be found here:

Make-up exams will be scheduled beginning on Wednesday, January 28, 2017.  Teachers will administer make-up exams beginning at 11:30 each day.

*If school is canceled on an exam day, the exams scheduled for that day will be held on the next school day. If school is delayed, students will report to their advisory at 8:22 a.m. and the exams will begin at 8:36 a.m. and 10:28 a.m. Lunch would be at 12:22 in the event of a delay.
